About the role

The role sits within Bosch's cost engineering and benchmarking function, which studies competitor products and performs product and component cost estimation for greenfield and brownfield programs. The work spans teardown analysis, technical studies of manufacturing processes, design features and materials, design-to-cost, negotiation calculations and RPP. This position involves predicting assembly techniques and sequences, documenting product comparisons, and interacting with suppliers and vendors.

  • Product and component cost estimation - Greenfield & Brownfield (Sales Price, Design to cost (D2C), Nego calculations, RPP etc.)
  • Holistic view on Cost Engg methods and processes
  • Teardown Analysis
  • Technical study i.e. manufacturing process, design features, materials etc.
  • Predicting assembly techniques and sequences
  • Product comparison & detailed documentation
  • Supplier interactions, vendors discussions
