About the role
The team develops custom silicon solutions that power the future of Google's direct-to-consumer products, and is part of the Technical Infrastructure organization that builds and maintains the architecture behind Google's platforms, networks, and data centers. This role leads a silicon site in Mumbai, owning site-level silicon development from conception to tape-out and production. The role sets long-term site growth strategy, leads and scales a organization of managers and engineers, and partners with Architecture, Software Engineering, Platform, and Product teams on next-gen silicon accelerators.
What you will do
- Formulate and execute the long-term growth and site-development strategy. Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing organization of managers and engineers. Foster an innovative culture, plan team allocations, and drive leadership development.
- Oversee site-level silicon development from conception to tape-out and production. Partner with global stakeholders to ensure all site deliverables achieve industry-leading targets for Quality, Schedule, and Power, Performance, Area (PPA).
- Collaborate with Architecture, Software Engineering, Platform, and Product teams to build the charter, technical specs, and future roadmaps for next-gen silicon accelerators.
- Participate in and lead critical design, verification, testability, or physical sign-off reviews (matching your domain expertise) to uphold Google's stringent quality standard. Act as the primary site point of contact.
Skills used in this role
Preferred qualifications
- Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science, with an emphasis on computer architecture.
- Knowledge of end-to-end ASIC/SoC design flows, including architecture, RTL, DV, DFT, and Physical Design
- Ability to deliver results, develop people, and build community.
