About the role

Bosch Powertrain Solutions is hiring a Calibration Engineer to work on calibration development projects for torque-based control systems in gasoline and diesel engines, including emissions and climate development. The role involves engine management systems, model-based calibration tooling, and analysis of large volumes of powertrain data, with knowledge of powertrain sub-systems including EVs. The position requires a BE in Mechanical, Automobile, or Electrical & Electronics engineering with 6 to 8 years of relevant experience.

What the employer is looking for

  • 6 to 8 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experienced in technically working on calibration development projects
  • Experience in calibrating torque-based control systems (gasoline and diesel) including emissions and climate development is preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of powertrain systems and sub-systems including EVs
  • Good knowledge of developing engine management systems and testing techniques
  • Ability to use model-based calibration tools e.g. Inca, Uniplot, Cameo, ASCMO, AVL Puma, etc.
  • Experienced user of analytical software tools to handle large volumes of data.
  • Ability to understand, interpret and evaluate numerical data
  • Knowledge of Modelling and Simulation techniques is preferred
  • Knowledge of coding/programming languages
  • Sound understanding of engine combustion processes and emissions formulation
  • Skilled in statistical testing techniques i.e. Design of Experiments (DoE)
  • Complete work in a safe, timely and professional manner with the minimum of supervision
  • Flexibility to undertake additional task to meet business requirements
  • Highly motivated, keen to learn and share knowledge. High attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Flexibility to travel as and when required.
