About the role
Google's Devices & Services team combines Google AI, software, and hardware to create computing experiences. As a Technical Solutions Consultant, the role owns technical relationships with large advertising clients and product partners and leads cross-functional teams across Engineering, Sales, and Product Management. The specialist will design and test technical solutions, build tools and repeatable integrations, and support business operations for Google's online advertising platforms and product partnerships.
What you will do
- Help to build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders in customer or partner organizations to deliver or manage quality technical solutions and services.
- Verify the functionality of a developer product feature and provide meaningful feedback to product/engineering teams that result in improvements to the developer experience.
- Create product requirement documents (PRDs) to record product specifications, validate PRDs to ensure customer/partner and internal needs are met, with limited guidance.
- Help scale existing or create repeatable solutions (e.g., best practices recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, sample code) and ensure effective documentation of repeatable solutions with minimal guidance.
- Help write solution code in collaboration with internal or external developers/users/partners/clients/stakeholders as needed.
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience troubleshooting technical issues for internal/external partners or customers.
- Experience in either system design or reading code (e.g., Java, C++, Python).
- Experience on middleware, and data integration or system integration.
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience implementing, configuring, customizing and integrating solutions using middleware applications, such as Dell Boomi, Mulesoft, Snaplogic, Sterling Integrator, or similar applications that allow the business to automate and scale processes, such as OTC, PTP and RMA.
- Experience onboarding trading partners, such as customers, vendors (ie. 3PL, CM’s, EDI VAN) and other third-party business applications.
- Coding experience with Python, Apps Script/JavaScript or other programming/scripting languages.
