About the role
The role sits within Barclays' BUK Tesco Bank IN Platforms-API area, supporting product development for banking platforms and API integrations. It involves collaborating with product owners and technical teams to execute the product roadmap, define API requirements, and improve product quality and performance. What you will do
- Provision of subject matter expertise to support the collaboration between the product owner and the technical side of product development.
- Support the development and implementation of the product strategy and vision defined in the product roadmap and communicate them with the relevant stakeholders and the development team.
- Collaboration with internal stakeholders to gather and prioritise product requirements and features based on business value and feasibility that are well defined, measurable and secure.
- Development and implementation of assessments to ensure continuous testing and improvement of product quality and performance.
- Monitoring of product performance to identify opportunities for optimisation that meets the banks performance standards.
- Stay abreast of the latest industry technology trends and technologies, to evaluate and adopt new approaches to improve product development and delivery.

- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, Scrum, and DevOps practices.
- Understanding of software engineering concepts and system architecture
- Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, AWS, DevOps, or Confluence
- Understand API Integration
- Proven experience in Process Mapping, Gap Analysis, Stakeholder Management, Retail and Digital Banking, Payments and Card Processing
- Good understanding of KYC / AML Compliance, Core Banking Systems, Financial Products and Services and Risk and Regulatory Requirements
- Proven ability to read and translate Open API/Swagger Specs and UCRs to defi ne and document API requirements (user stories, acceptance criteria, data models)
- Experience delivering API/integration change across the full lifecycle, working with engineering, architecture, and 3rd parties.
