About the role
This role supports the Paint PU Production function at Mahindra Group's Zaheerabad manufacturing plant, covering shift-level production planning and execution for the automobile paint shop. The Assistant Manager will handle manpower and material planning, shift scheduling and shop control indices, and drive productivity, cost and sustainability improvements across the paint shop systems (PT, CED and painting lines).
What you will do
- Manpower Planning & Deployment.
- Material Planning, Shop Inventory, Production Planning and Execution for the shift.
- Target Setting & Meeting the same
- Co-ordination with supplier and customer for efficient shift operations.
- Shift Scheduling, Absenteeism Controls
- Monitoring and maintenance of Paint shop system cleaning activities.
- Efficient Operational control of the shift wrt shop control indices in terms of Daily Work Management.
- Productivity improvements through kaizens/KK themes
- Initiatives towards reduction in FOS cost, Hazardous Waste, Fire Load.
- Initiatives towards sustainability - water consumption reduction.

- Education Qualification BE/Btech-Paint Technology/Chemical Engg/Mechanical Engg
- General Experience 3-7 Years
- Robot Programming (ABB robots)
- Knowledge of Automobile Paint Shop /Paint Technology.
- Hands on Experience on Robots Programming and modifying program for fine tuning PT CED and Painting Process.
- Knowledge of various chemicals, solvents, various testing methods for quality assurance.
- Knowledge on Paint shop system cleaning activities (PT, CED, Painting lines)
- Knowledge of safety aspects.
- Good communication skills.
- Knowledge of Basic Computer Skills
- Knowledge of SAP.
