About the role
Chargebee provides revenue infrastructure for AI, SaaS, and consumer subscription businesses. The Associate Reliability Engineer (Contractor) supports the reliability and availability of Chargebee’s cloud infrastructure, working on live production systems, monitoring applications, and troubleshooting issues across application and database layers. This is a hands-on role in cloud operations, DevOps practices, and large-scale system reliability within a 24/7 rotational shift environment.
What you will do
- Monitor production systems hosted in AWS cloud using tools like Splunk, Datadog, and AWS CloudWatch
- Ensure high availability by proactively identifying and resolving issues
- Respond to alerts and participate in incident management
- Diagnose and resolve issues in the Java-based application stack
- Analyze and troubleshoot database issues in MySQL and PostgreSQL
- Identify slow queries and assist in basic performance tuning
- Work with engineering teams to perform root cause analysis and implement fixes
- Develop scripts (Python, Bash) to automate repetitive tasks
- Improve operational workflows and monitoring through automation
