About the role

The Regulatory Finance Data Strategy team works on data and program management initiatives supporting Regulatory Reporting data needs across EMEA, LATAM and APAC. The role sits within JPMorgan Chase's Corporate functions, partnering with Product Owners, Technology and other functional areas on data governance, data quality and strategic platform capabilities. This Associate will conduct data analysis and data management activities, govern the target state operating model rollout, and support delivery of regulatory changes and special initiatives.

What you will do

  • Partner with a team of resources working on data and program management initiatives.
  • Collaborate with EMEA, LATAM and APAC stakeholders reviewing Regulatory Reporting data needs against strategic platform capabilities whilst assessing improvement possibilities in existing processes.
  • Propose solutions that address business challenges working alongside Product Owners, Technology and other Corporate functional areas to ensure that solutions are implemented effectively and meet business requirements.
  • Conduct data attribution, profiling, coverage, and quality analysis to confirm upstream data is fit for regulatory consumption.
  • Demonstrates the ability to independently perform data analysis and data management activities, including data lineage mapping, data governance assessments, data quality evaluation, metadata management, business attribute analysis, source-to-target mapping, data reconciliation, and data modelling.
  • Govern and coordinate roll out of target state strategic operating model to support business needs and regulatory obligations.
  • Perform adhoc data analysis to uncover insights that drive business decisions and optimize processes across a wide range of financial products.
  • Supports delivery of regulatory changes and special initiatives.
  • Facilitate clear and effective communication between business and technical teams, ensuring alignment and understanding.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and drive initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred qualifications

  • Qualified CA or MBA in Finance from a leading Business School.
  • Experience of working on a firm-wide or regional regulatory program would be desirable.
  • Knowledge of financial markets and instruments.
  • Experience of working on cross-regional data integration and release management initiatives.
  • Experience and technical knowledge of data management and governance, big data platforms, or data architecture.
  • Knowledge of Regulatory Reporting Rules particularly Financial and Statistical Reporting.
  • Highly skilled in writing SQL queries for extracting data from multiple tables, Databricks, Alteryx workflow creations, Creating Views on Tableau.
