About the role
The position is within Bosch's component engineering function, focused on customer project management for IC engine components. The role involves planning, executing, and leading customer project deliverables in component engineering, including cost estimation, risk management, quality management using Bosch Engineering System (BES) methods, and budget planning. It also includes coordinating IDN and platform window meetings, competence development, and innovation management to meet customer specifications within quality, cost, and timeline parameters.
What you will do
- The purpose of this position is to plan, execute and lead deliverables of customer project in component engineering to meet identified requirements and deliver necessary work packages within agreed parameters of quality, cost and timeline
- Estimate and plan component level projects cost covering design,testing and project management co ordination
- Identify and manage project risks, and develop contingency plans as needed.
- Review project progress, identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed
- Lead and drive Engineering Product Quality & Preventive.
- Quality management processes by using Bosch Engineering.
- System (BES) methods and tools within the function to enable engineering excellence.
- Coordinate and plan topics for IDN and platform window meetings with lead departments
- Lead and drive project management processes adhering to regulations and compliance to fulfill customer project specifications with the agreed budget and timeline
- Obtain competencies in the functional area based on present and future trends as per the business requirements.
- Supervise innovation management processes to generate new ideas and to solve current product / customer concerns.
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- Bachelors degree in engineering (Mechanical,Electrical, Industrial and Automotive)
- PMP certification is an added advantage
- 4-5 years of minimum experience in Project management related to IC engine components
