Goldman Sachs Asset and Wealth Management (AWM) provides asset management, wealth management and banking expertise to consumers and institutions around the world. Multi-Asset Solutions (MAS) is a multi-asset class investing group within the Asset Management Division that designs and develops customized investment solutions using proprietary research and analytics. This Associate role is a quantitative fixed income investment research position, building and maintaining models and formulating relative value, curve, and directional strategies across sovereign bonds, inflation-linked debt, and interest rate derivatives.

What you will do

  • MAS is looking for a quantitative investment research associate for the fixed income asset class. This role bridges rigorous quantitative modeling with fundamental macroeconomic analysis to formulate relative value, curve, and directional investment strategies across sovereign bonds, inflation-linked debt, and interest rate derivatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with equity, credit, foreign exchange (FX), and commodities research teams to identify cross-market dislocations, macro spillovers, and multi-asset alpha opportunities
  • Present investment strategies to the research group and the Investment Committee, and conduct required follow-ups.
  • This role entails extensive interaction with the portfolio managers, risk takers, and senior management to help manage the asset allocation for client portfolios.
  • You will work on alpha generating strategies; portfolio allocation problems; and build and maintain models for prediction, pricing, data analysis and more.

What the employer is looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or economics.
  • 5 years of relevant work experience in financial markets – experience in fixed income (bonds) strongly preferred, quantitative and programming skills required.
