About the role
Schneider Electric is a global company working at the intersection of automation, electrification, and digitization, with products spanning power distribution, protection, control, and automation. The ECAD Librarian role sits within the Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) engineering library function, maintaining schematic symbols, device macros, panel layouts, wiring information, and 2D/3D models across SeeXP platforms. This role creates, governs, and keeps ECAD library content consistent with IEC standards and with PLM, ERP, and product catalog systems while supporting global engineering teams.
What you will do
- The ECAD Librarian is responsible for creating, maintaining, validating, and governing ECAD libraries for Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) products used in power distribution, protection, control, and automation applications.
- The role ensures the accuracy, consistency, and quality of schematic symbols, device macros, panel-layout representations, terminal definitions, wiring information, 2D/3D models, and engineering metadata across SeeXP Platforms.
- Develop and maintain standardized ECAD libraries for MV and LV devices.
- Manage centralized ECAD libraries in accordance with IEC and ECAD standards
- Update and revise existing library components when design or supplier changes occur.
- Ensure library data integrity, version control, and traceability.
- Ensure consistency between ECAD libraries, PLM systems, ERP systems, and product catalogs.
- Experience in multinational organizations supporting global engineering teams.
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in ECAD Library Management, Electrical Design,
- Knowledge and work experience of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and single-line diagrams.
- Knowledge and work experience of any following Tool EPLAN P8 ZUKEN E3 Series AutoCAD Electrical SEE Electrical
