About the role
IBM Consulting works with clients across industries to shape their hybrid cloud and AI journeys, supported by IBM technology and strategic partners including Red Hat. The Application Developer: Hybrid Cloud Manage role supports and maintains applications across multiple languages and stacks hosted on cloud platforms. The developer consults with clients on application management, resolves technical issues across stacks, and applies DevSecOps, quality engineering, and platform skills to application development and deployment.
What you will do
- Develop and Maintain Applications: Support and maintain applications across multiple languages and skills hosted on cloud platforms, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
- Provide Consulting Services: Offer expert consulting services to clients on managing applications on various cloud platforms, helping them optimize their application management processes.
- Resolve Technical Issues: Identify and resolve technical issues in applications across multiple stacks, utilizing expertise in custom skills and technology.
- Apply DevSecOps Expertise: Apply proficiency in DevSecOps, quality engineering, platform, and manage method skills to ensure high-quality application development and deployment.
- Collaborate with Clients: Work closely with clients to understand their application management needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their requirements.

- Cloud Platform Expertise: Exposure to supporting and maintaining applications hosted on cloud platforms, including hands-on experience with multiple languages and skills.
- Custom Technology Skills: Experience working with at least 2 primary technology skills, such as Java, Open Source, databases, Integration technologies, Mainframe, IBMi, and Data AMS.
- DevSecOps Proficiency: Exposure to DevSecOps, quality engineering, platform, and manage method skills, with the ability to apply these skills in application development and deployment.

- Advanced Cloud Certifications: Exposure to obtaining advanced certifications in cloud platforms, such as AWS Certified Developer or Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Developer, to enhance expertise in cloud-based application management.
- Knowledge of Emerging Technologies: Familiarity with emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, or blockchain, to stay up-to-date with industry trends and innovations.
