About the role

The role sits within a Siemens advisory team, where the AI Engineer acts as the technical backbone supporting consultants in delivering client solutions. The work is hands-on development inside the Microsoft ecosystem, spanning Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Dynamics 365, Dataverse and Microsoft 365. This role designs, builds and maintains conversational agents and automations, translating business requirements into functional workflows and integrations.

What you will do

  • Design & Build Copilot Studio Agents: Create, configure, and optimize conversational agents (topics, entities, variables, adaptive cards, skills, flows).
  • Automate with Power Automate: Develop and maintain workflows to integrate data and processes across Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, and external systems.
  • Data Integration: Connect, map, and transform data from various sources (Dataverse, SQL, SharePoint, APIs, Excel, Dynamics 365).
  • Custom Connectors & API Integration: Leverage REST APIs and build custom connectors to extend agent and automation capabilities.
  • Testing & Optimization: Troubleshoot, test, and continuously improve Copilot agents and Power Automate flows for reliability and performance.
  • Collaboration with Consultants: Work closely with business analysts and consultants to understand use cases and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Provide clear technical documentation and guidance for internal stakeholders.

What the employer is looking for

  • Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio (topics, conversation flows, skills, actions).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Power Automate (standard & premium connectors, flow design, exception handling).
  • Solid understanding of Power Platform ecosystem (Power Apps, Dataverse, AI Builder, connectors).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 data models and integration patterns.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 services (Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, OneDrive) as data sources and automation targets.
  • Experience with API integration (REST, JSON, OAuth) and Custom Connectors.
  • Basic programming/scripting knowledge (JavaScript, Python, or PowerShell).
  • Understanding of data modeling and transformation for conversational AI scenarios.
  • Experience with Azure Functions or Logic Apps for advanced scenarios.
  • Knowledge of Power Apps development to complement agent capabilities.
  • Exposure to DevOps practices (CI/CD for Power Platform, Git, Azure DevOps).
  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., Power Platform Functional Consultant, AI Fundamentals).
  • Strong hands-on mindset: eager to build, test, and improve solutions.
  • Analytical thinking: ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Collaboration: comfortable working closely with consultants and business teams.
  • Communication: capable of explaining technical concepts in a clear, structured way.
  • Continuous learning: curiosity to explore new Microsoft Copilot and Power Platform features.
  • Problem-solving: proactive in troubleshooting and optimizing solutions.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Relevant experience in building Copilot Studio agents and Power Automate workflows.
  • Background in Power Platform / Microsoft 365 development is strongly preferred
