About the role

As part of Dell’s Global Field Technology Office, the Systems Engineering team provides technical presales leadership for complex products, applications, services, and solutions. The role is a global AI Software and use-case specialist position focused on agentic and generative AI, RAG, LLM deployment, MLOps, and AI factory architecture. It works across field enablement, strategic customer engagements, product group feedback, and external thought leadership.

What you will do

  • Design, develop, and lead world-class technical enablement programs — AI use-case training series, CSC Collab sessions, and role-based learning paths — that give field SE and sales teams across all three theatres the knowledge and confidence to position Dell’s AI Software portfolio
  • Build and maintain ready-to-use enablement assets: technical briefs, competitive battlecards, and reference architectures spanning agentic and multi-agent orchestration, RAG and retrieval pipelines, fine-tuning and model customization, vector databases, and end-to-end LLM deployment and AI factory positioning frameworks
  • Drive structured enablement programs in partnership with presales leadership, L&D organizations, and the Regional Tech Offices
  • Serve as the go-to expert for the broader SE community on AI software selection, model and LLM architecture, fine-tuning versus RAG trade-offs, use-case framing, agentic pattern design, model evaluation and benchmarking, inference optimization, and model-to-workload fit
  • Champion the development of CSC labs, Collab-style code interfaces, and hands-on technical content that makes AI tangible and actionable for presales teams
  • Lead and support strategic, complex customer engagements globally, including executive briefings and strategy and architecture workshops
  • Advise customers on AI operating model design: workload-to-problem mapping, model and LLM selection and sizing, fine-tuning versus retrieval-augmented approaches, inference optimization and serving strategy, GPU and accelerator sizing, data and MLOps pipeline design, use-case prioritization, and end-to-end AI factory architecture
  • Support flagship account engagements where technical depth and executive credibility are required, including joint workshops with hyperscalers, ISVs, and strategic partners
  • Conduct co-research and co-publishing engagements with innovation-forward customers, positioning Dell as an architecture partner rather than just a vendor
  • Represent Dell’s AI Software vision credibly across industries — including financial services, telecommunications, healthcare, manufacturing, and energy — and at major external events such as Dell Technologies World
  • Serve as the field voice into the AI Software Product Group, translating customer and field insights into actionable product feedback, roadmap influence, and go-to-market direction
  • Drive structured feedback loops with ISG, OCTO, CTO, Dell Capital, and Presales, managing the full RFE lifecycle from intake through advocacy and resolution
  • Partner with ISV ecosystem stakeholders — including and not limited to Cohere, DataRobot, Tabnine, and emerging agentic AI platforms — to define joint enablement, certification, and customer engagement strategy
  • Align AI Software positioning cohesively within the broader Dell Automation Platform and Dell AI Factory portfolio narrative
  • Contribute to pipeline growth strategies, competitive differentiation, and AI use-case-led GTM programs
  • Publish and present technical IP — white papers, guides, research, conference sessions, and developer community contributions — that builds Dell’s authority in AI software and use-case architecture
  • Cultivate academic and university partnerships to advance co-research and talent engagement
  • Contribute to Dell’s internal thought leadership through the Podcast, global webinars, and cross-domain architecture sessions
  • Engage the developer and open-source community (e.g., Hugging Face, open-source AI frameworks) to maintain technical credibility and mindshare
  • Accelerated field confidence in AI Software positioning across AMER, APJC, and EMEA
  • Upstream customer influence, positioning Dell inside the customer’s architecture design loop before buying decisions crystallize
  • Deeper ISV and partner ecosystem engagement around Dell’s AI Software and agentic AI portfolio
  • A scalable, systematic approach to AI thought leadership — moving Dell from ad-hoc expert conversations to reproducible, high-impact frameworks and narratives
