About the role
Snowflake's Solutions Engineering team sits within the Go-to-Market business unit and helps enterprises achieve their data and AI priorities on the Snowflake AI Data Cloud. The role is customer-facing and technical, spanning data platform modernization, analytics workload migration, governance, and AI on Snowflake. This Senior Solutions Engineer will lead technical discovery, design and demonstrate solutions using Cortex AI, Snowpark, Dynamic Tables, Streamlit in Snowflake, and secure data sharing, and advise customers across India while partnering with sales, product, and services teams.
What you will do
- Lead technical discovery with customers and translate business priorities into architectures built on the Snowflake AI Data Cloud.
- Design and demonstrate solutions using Snowflake capabilities such as Cortex AI, Snowpark, Dynamic Tables, Streamlit in Snowflake, and secure data sharing.
- Build proofs of concept that validate performance, governance, interoperability, and business value for high-priority customer workloads.
- Advise customers on modernizing data platforms and migrating analytical workloads to Snowflake while reducing complexity and operational overhead.
- Partner with Account Executives, Product Management, Professional Services, and Snowflake partners to develop account strategies and remove technical barriers.
- Guide customer stakeholders on security, governance, privacy, and responsible AI patterns using Snowflake Horizon and related platform controls.
- Influence technical and executive decision makers through clear architecture narratives, workshops, demonstrations, and value-focused presentations.
- Mentor Solutions Engineering peers and contribute reusable field assets, reference architectures, and product feedback that improve execution across the region.
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- 12+ years of relevant experience in solutions engineering, data architecture, cloud platforms, analytics, or an equivalent customer-facing technical role.
- A strong foundation in data warehousing, data engineering, analytics, cloud architecture, and enterprise security.
- Experience leading technical discovery and designing solutions for complex enterprise requirements.
- The ability to explain technical concepts clearly to engineers, architects, business leaders, and executives.
- Hands-on proficiency with SQL and at least one major cloud platform as supporting capabilities for solution design and validation.
- A record of influencing customer decisions through consultative problem solving, demonstrations, and proofs of concept.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to lead across sales, product, services, partners, and customer teams without direct authority.
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with Snowflake, Cortex AI, Snowpark, Streamlit in Snowflake, or native application development.
- Familiarity with GenAI architectures, retrieval-augmented generation, model governance, and AI-assisted solution engineering workflows.
- Experience supporting data platform modernization or migration programs in large enterprises.
- Knowledge of data governance, security, privacy, and regulatory considerations relevant to customers in India.
- Experience mentoring technical presales professionals or leading cross-account technical initiatives.
