About the role

Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) is the consulting arm of Visa, solving strategic problems for issuers, acquirers, merchants, fintechs, payment enablers, and governments using expertise in consulting, data analytics, technology, payments, and economics. This role leads VCA's Government & Public Sector Advisory practice across India and South Asia, building relationships with government institutions and public sector enterprises. The Senior Director will originate and lead consulting engagements, shape VCA's public sector value proposition, and drive revenue growth through government, PSU, and ecosystem-led opportunities, while developing capabilities, talent, thought leadership, and strategic partnerships.

What you will do

  • Define and execute VCA's Government & PSU Strategy across India and South Asia, from identifying opportunities to delivering projects.
  • Originate, pursue, and convert high-impact consulting and transformation engagements across government institutions, public sector enterprises, and ecosystem stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies in partnership with Sales, Product, Marketing Services, Government Engagement, and Account Executives to accelerate growth.
  • Lead strategic pursuits, executive client engagements, and commercial negotiations to drive client acquisition and revenue expansion.
  • Provide pipeline oversight, forecasting, and governance to ensure accurate opportunity management and business planning.
  • Build compelling business cases, value propositions, and ROI-led narratives for clients and stakeholders.
  • Develop repeatable consulting frameworks, methodologies, and scalable offerings that can be deployed across multiple government and ecosystem engagements.
  • Mentor and develop high-performing talent, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop strategic insights and thought leadership to help governments, public institutions, and ecosystem stakeholders navigate the evolving payments and digital transformation landscape.
  • Manage a significant consulting portfolio and be accountable for revenue growth, pipeline conversion, client satisfaction, and overall practice performance.
  • Hold self and team members accountable for delivering measurable, high-quality, timely, and impactful business results.

What the employer is looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Public Policy, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 15+ years of experience in management consulting, government advisory, public sector strategy, financial services, technology consulting, risk consulting or digital transformation.
  • Demonstrated success building and managing senior stakeholder relationships across government institutions, regulators, public sector enterprises, and large organizations.
  • Experience leading large, complex, multi-stakeholder transformation programs.

  • Financial acumen with experience managing a P&L or significant consulting portfolio.
  • Strong commercial mindset with experience building business cases and demonstrating client ROI.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities with strong strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent executive presence, communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.
  • Proven leadership in highly matrixed organizations with strong collaboration and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Experience building, mentoring, and leading high-performing consulting teams.
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering measurable business outcomes with accountability for results.
