About the role
Visa is a global payments technology company that facilitates transactions between consumers, merchants, financial institutions and government entities across more than 200 countries and territories. The CDPE team supports Controllership with data and process improvement initiatives, including the Finance Data Platform (FDP), management reporting, automation and responsible GenAI adoption. This Finance Manager role coordinates cross-functional data and process improvement work, translating Controllership priorities into requirements, delivery plans and measurable business outcomes.
What you will do
- Support the Accounting and Reporting team on a project basis by developing, maintaining, and automating data extraction, report generation, and analytics solutions.
- Partner closely with MSC to identify reporting requirements, streamline manual download and centralize data workflows as activities transition from markets into the MSC operating model.
- Design scalable reporting solutions, improving data quality and governance, enabling self-service reporting where appropriate, and working with ATR digital team to digitalize and standardize processes to enhance efficiency, control, and scalability across the organization.
- Responsible for management reporting and other operational work performed by the team to help ensure timely, accurate and complete delivery
- Process data and reporting requests, review outputs, monitor timelines and dependencies, and follow up on issues or exceptions that could affect delivery quality
- Escalate material risks, delays, errors or quality concerns promptly when required
- Ensure process documentation is established, maintained, and updated to reflect current procedures and controls
- Support coordination across Controllership teams, FDP partners, data governance and technology stakeholders to progress priority finance use cases
- Establish the intake and prioritization of FDP requirements, including use cases, business rules, source data, calculation logic, acceptance criteria and target outcomes
- Support data validation, reconciliation, user acceptance testing, issue resolution and business certification to help ensure delivered data is complete, accurate, controlled and fit for purpose
- Support the transition from manual extracts and spreadsheet-dependent reporting to governed FDP data products, including ownership, documentation, adoption and retirement planning
- Translate Controllership priorities into a structured portfolio of initiatives, delivery roadmaps and actionable workplans
- Define success measures and track business outcomes such as improved cycle time, fewer errors, stronger controls, increased automation, higher adoption and lower manual effort
- Support stakeholder alignment and decision-making to resolve dependencies and maintain delivery momentum
- Provide concise executive updates on progress, risks, decisions, benefits and required actions
- Support the identification and prioritization of finance use cases for approved GenAI and automation tools based on business value, feasibility, data readiness, scalability and control considerations
- Support the translation of finance use cases into solution requirements, prompts, decision logic, workflows, controls and expected outputs
- Support pilots and implementation of GenAI-enabled solutions that improve analysis, decisions, follow-up activities or operational workflows
- Ensure solution outputs are validated for accuracy, relevance, consistency, usability, security and control considerations before business use
- Maintain appropriate documentation and support ownership, human review, monitoring and continuous-improvement practices for responsible adoption

What the employer is looking for
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Information Systems or a related field, with 5-8 years of relevant experience
- Relevant experience in finance, accounting, controllership, finance transformation, data or process improvement, with demonstrated ownership of cross-functional initiatives
- Experience supporting projects or workstreams from requirements definition through testing, implementation, adoption and benefits realization
- Experience overseeing management reporting or operational deliverables, with a strong focus on timeliness, accuracy, issue resolution and escalation
- Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills, including the ability to provide concise updates and recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Comfort using approved GenAI and automation tools, including Claude, to accelerate analysis, solution design and workflow improvement
- Ability to manage changing priorities and contribute across multiple Controllership initiatives as a flexible, hands-on problem solver
- Strong intellectual curiosity and growth mindset, with a willingness to learn emerging technologies and continuously improve processes and ways of working
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and global team environment
Preferred qualifications
- Experience coordinating finance data platform or data warehouse initiatives, including use-case intake, source-to-target mapping, data validation, UAT, business certification and adoption
- Experience in continuous improvement, Lean Six Sigma, controls, audit, issue management or root-cause analysis
- Experience using GenAI, prompt engineering, AI agents or AI-enabled workflows to solve business problems
- Familiarity with SQL, Python, Power BI, Power Query, Power Apps, Power Automate or other analysis, visualization and automation tools
- Experience supporting delivery governance, project documentation, change adoption, benefit tracking and executive stakeholder updates
- Awareness of finance data governance, access controls, data lineage, responsible AI and model or solution monitoring considerations
- Experience supporting or guiding analysts and cross-functional contributors without relying on formal authority
