About the role
Visa's CEMEA Internal Data & Analytics team develops and scales AI-enabled products, analytics platforms and self-service decision-support capabilities that empower business teams across CEMEA. The work spans Data Science, Software Engineering, GenAI and Business Analytics within Visa's global payments technology organization. This hands-on individual contributor role designs, builds and deploys AI-powered applications, predictive models and self-service analytics products in partnership with business stakeholders, with no people management responsibility.
What you will do
- Design, develop and deploy AI-powered business applications and self-service analytics products.
- Build agentic AI solutions leveraging LLMs, GenAI platforms and conversational interfaces.
- Develop AI-enabled decision support tools that drive measurable business outcomes.
- Own the product lifecycle from ideation through deployment and adoption.
- Build predictive models, optimization solutions and recommendation engines.
- Apply machine learning, statistical modelling and experimentation techniques to solve business problems.
- Translate complex business challenges into scalable analytics and AI solutions.
- Deliver measurable business impact through data-driven decision making.
- Enhance and expand IRIS capabilities and broader Project LEGO initiatives.
- Build self-service analytics solutions that reduce reliance on manual reporting.
- Develop reusable data products, analytical assets and business intelligence solutions.
- Enable business users to access trusted insights through modern analytics experiences.
- Develop production-grade applications using Python and modern development frameworks.
- Build APIs, backend services and scalable analytical workflows.
- Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
- Apply software engineering best practices including version control, testing and deployment automation.
- Partner directly with leaders across Marketing, Cross-Border, Products, Compliance, Corporate Communications and other business functions.
- Gather requirements, prioritize opportunities and communicate insights effectively.
- Act as a trusted advisor on analytics, AI and data-driven decision making.
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in Data Science, Analytics, Machine Learning or AI-related roles.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience delivering end-to-end analytical or AI solutions.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience developing GenAI, agentic AI or LLM-based applications.
- Experience with FastAPI, React or modern application frameworks.
- Experience building self-service analytics or data products.
- Experience with cloud platforms and modern data architectures.
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders and senior leaders.
- Experience operating independently in a fast-paced environment.
