About the role
Visa is a world leader in payments technology, facilitating transactions between consumers, merchants, financial institutions and government entities across more than 200 countries and territories. The Sr. Manager leads a team responsible for reviewing business requirements, developing functional and technical design documentation, and overseeing design and implementation of testing procedures for APIs, abstractions, and integration patterns to address distributed computing challenges. The role also owns code review and the team's development and testing activities, participates in design reviews and proof of concepts, and evaluates new technologies including Generative AI tools.
What you will do
- Review business requirements and develop functional and technical design documentation.
- Design and implement testing procedures for APIs, abstractions, and integration patterns, including end-to-end and integration tests.
- Participate in design reviews to provide input on requirements, product designs, schedules, and potential issues.
- Ensure team productivity, predictability, and delivery of high-quality results.
- Review code and maintain accountability for the team’s development and testing activities.
- Participate in proof of concepts and technical evaluations of new technologies.
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- 8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 11+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred qualifications
- 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
