About the role
Motorola Solutions builds and connects technologies to help protect people, property and places, and the Push To Talk Over Cellular department develops a next-generation PTT application deployed across Android, iOS, embedded devices and Windows. The client applications are built on a cross-platform Core Development Engine (CDE) library written on top of the PJSIP stack with application-level logic for platform-specific features. This role focuses on the design, development and maintenance of core applications and tools using C/C++, Python, Node.js or C#, and includes guiding the development of junior engineers.
What you will do
- Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of Software applications/tools.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Collaborate with team to understand project requirements and deliver solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
- Debug and resolve software defects and issues.
- Identify the gaps in the existing manual workflow/process and try to automate
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure continuous improvement.

- Coding Proficiency in C/C++/Python/C# Programming languages.
- Hands-on experience in VoIP functional testing and core telecom protocols (SIP, RTP/RTCP, DNS, HTTP, SSL/TLS, TCP/UDP)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with software development tools and environments.
- Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Basic knowledge of databases and SQL.
- Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts (Good to have).
