About the role
Motorola Solutions' Unified Communications department builds and connects technologies to help protect people, property, and places, fostering collaboration for safer communities, schools, hospitals, and businesses. This role leads application modernization initiatives, transforming legacy applications into cloud-native, microservices-based architectures. The individual will define and execute the technical roadmap, drive delivery of key microservices products, and build high-performing engineering teams with Leadership, Microservices architecture, and Java expertise.
What you will do
- Lead the modernization of legacy applications into scalable, cloud-native, microservices-based platforms.
- Define and drive the technical roadmap, architecture, execution plan, and delivery milestones.
- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing engineering teams.
- Establish strong engineering practices across architecture, quality, reliability, security, and operational excellence.
- Partner with Product, Architecture, Platform, and cross-functional teams to align priorities and deliver business outcomes.
- Drive predictable execution across complex, multi-team initiatives.
- Improve engineering velocity while maintaining high standards for quality and customer impact.
