About the role

Motorola Solutions is a global leader in professional mobile communications, building and connecting mission-critical digital mobile communication systems for Government & Public Safety Communications customers. The Solution Architect works with Unified Communications customers to understand overall solution needs and functionality of MSI and third-party applications and hardware, providing high-level designs that enable integration with customer or 3rd party IP/LTE/LMR networks. The role takes responsibility for and oversees technical design aspects of Software Architecture to assigned projects from pre-sales and award until system acceptance.

What the employer is looking for

  • Bachelor's Degree (BSEE/BSCE preferred)
  • Knowledge in Unified Communications in a radio communication systems or broadband/LTE or 3GPP in general.
  • Good understanding, and working knowledge in IP networking, network design methodologies & troubleshooting (Ethernet, TCP/IP, L2/L3)
  • Understanding of virtualization and containerization platforms.
  • Excellent communications skills and the ability to present complex topics to nontechnical audiences.
  • Self motivated and able to maintain focus in a pressured environment

Preferred qualifications

  • Certifications through CompTIA Network+, Juniper JNCIA-Junos, Nokia NRS1, CCNA or similar are a plus
