About the role
GE Vernova's HVDC commercial proposal function prepares bids and proposals, negotiates contracts, and assesses commercial risk. The team works within the high-voltage direct current transmission domain, ensuring compliance with proposal policy and delivering competitive pricing. This specialist develops proposals, compiles tender documentation, and may lead small, low-risk bids.
What you will do
- Preparation of proposals/bids, contract negotiation and compliance with proposal policy, commercial risk assessment.
- Develop proposals; may negotiate with customers; ensure deals deliver shareholder value; drive competitive pricing. May include compiling and submitting required tender documentation.
- Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
- Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated, day-to-day problems with projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, or customers. Ability to prioritize information for decision making.
- Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
- This job requires good interpersonal skills. May lead small bids with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field.
