About the role
GE Vernova is an energy company focused on electrification and decarbonization, helping customers deliver reliable electricity. The internship places interns on engineering assignments and projects across areas such as aeroderivative engine testing, component and system design, analysis tool design, and operational process improvement. Interns are expected to integrate AI and agentic AI frameworks to drive efficiency and technical advancement.
What you will do
- Work on a challenging assignment / project to stretch your learning and skillsets while simultaneously improving engineering processes and solving challenges.
- Candidates will be expected to leverage and integrate AI and agentic AI frameworks into these assignments to drive measurable efficiency gains and technical advancement.
- Testing of Aeroderivative engines
- Project proposal and execution process improvement
- Component and system design/design processes
- Analysis tool design
- Operational process improvement

What the employer is looking for
- Enrolled in a full time nationally accredited baccalaureate program in a technical field.
- Minimum 3.5/4.0 overall GPA (without rounding)
- Must be willing to take a drug test as part of the selection process
- Must be willing to submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to develop and maintain good customer relationships
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Must be willing to work in geographical area specified by the business
- Must have the ability to work in the US for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship
Preferred qualifications
- Use of AI and agentic AI for automation and workflow and process flow improvements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with data analysis.
- A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Genuine interest in contributing to innovative solutions.
- Previous internship or project experience in engineering or operations.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
