About the role

The FACTS Solution Line Electromechanical team develops and adapts standard civil, structural, construction, and BIM engineering solutions for FACTS technologies such as STATCOM and SVC. This lead role coordinates civil and BIM deliverables across tenders and projects, including reference layouts, foundation concepts, technical specifications, quantities, and contractor inputs. It works with multidisciplinary teams and external partners to ensure civil solutions are technically compliant, cost-conscious, constructable, and practical to execute.

What you will do

  • Lead civil, structural, construction, and BIM engineering activities for assigned FACTS projects and tenders, including design criteria, reference layouts, foundation concepts, structural requirements, BIM models, technical specifications, quantities, and contractor inputs.
  • Coordinate engineering deliverables, technical reviews, interfaces, and design inputs across layout, mechanical, electrical, MV equipment, valve, cooling, regional teams, consultants, and contractors.
  • Support tenders and project execution with preliminary layouts, civil assumptions, technical clarifications, quantities, and identification of cost, schedule, constructability, and execution risks.
  • Apply and help develop FACTS reference solutions, standard designs, BIM content, and engineering guidelines, while capturing lessons learned and supporting continuous improvement.
  • Review and optimize civil and structural solutions for technical quality, constructability, cost awareness, and execution practicality, including foundations, steelwork, site layout, buildings, cable routes, materials, and construction methods.

  • Experience in BIM-based civil or structural engineering, including multidisciplinary model coordination, with proficiency in Revit or comparable BIM / structural modelling tools.
  • Experience preparing or reviewing civil engineering documentation, technical specifications, quantities, design inputs, and contractor deliverables, with an understanding of construction methods, contractor interfaces, constructability, and civil cost drivers.
  • Ability to lead assigned engineering work packages independently, with good written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering interfaces across complex technical projects.
  • Knowledge of soil mechanics, reinforced concrete, structural steel, seismic design, and equipment foundations.
  • Familiarity with FACTS systems, STATCOM, SVC, high-voltage substations, or similar power infrastructure.
  • Understanding of how design decisions affect quantities, installation, construction duration, risk, and total installed cost.
  • A proactive and structured approach to problem-solving, prioritisation, and continuous improvement.

Benefits and support

  • Performance-based rewards
  • Wellbeing programs for you and your family
  • Work-life balance support
