About the role
GE Vernova's Manufacturing Engineering (PB) organization drives automation and manufacturing engineering initiatives that help advance the energy transition. This Robotics & Automation Engineer role works closely with senior engineers to analyze production processes, evaluate emerging automation technologies, and support the design and implementation of lean, automated production lines. The work spans robotics, controls and automation, machine vision, industrial software, and IT/OT integration, in collaboration with the Manufacturing team and vendors.
What you will do
- Activities mainly contribute to the design execution of automation and robotics projects.
- Responsible for the design, integration, implementation, and support of robotic, automated, and digitally connected systems used in advanced manufacturing and industrial operations.
- Roles in this function include robotics, controls and automation, machine vision, industrial software, and IT/OT integration, with responsibility for improving safety, quality, productivity, reliability, and overall operational performance through automation and Industry 4.0 technologies.
- The role requires close collaboration with the Manufacturing team and vendors to ensure successful execution of projects.
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- Education / Experience: Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical / Mechatronics; or equivalent experience.
- 5+ Years on field Experience into Automation and Robotics project handling and execution
- Specific knowledge CAD and 3D software (example: AutoCAD, PTC Creo..)
- Fluent English
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with PLC programming and robotic systems.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies.
