About the role
GE Vernova's Customer Project Management (SPB) team is responsible for planning and scheduling across turn-key and EPC power projects, including TKSI/TKP/EEP/EO and global HDGT gas combined cycle projects. The Senior Scheduler develops L1/L2 ITO and project schedules and leads all planning and scheduling processes, tools and work instructions at the tendering phase. The role works with commercial teams, tender finance, product lines and project functions on schedule optimisation, payment milestones, cash flows and handover of tender schedules to the OTR regional/Pole teams.
What you will do
- Develop Schedules for Turn-key (self-implemented, Turnkey with Partner) and Schedule for EO/ EEP projects (including ITO Schedule analysis for EO/EEP projects)
- Work with Commercial team & relevant functions to optimize schedule while managing key risks.
- Work closely with Commercial team to integrate inputs from Product Lines for ITO stage and with Project functions during execution.
- Work closely with tender finance teams and Commercial teams to define Payment milestones and prepare cash flows for Partner’s scope.
- Define strategies with ITO teams for best optimised schedules and prepare mitigation action plans
- Lead discussions on scheduling during Risk/Gate reviews
- Support ITO teams during clarification and negotiation phase with Customer’s and EPC’s.
- Ensure proper handover of tender schedules to OTR regional/Pole teams.
- Develops the MTS as the integrated EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) project control schedule, based on contract scope requirements, in cooperation with all involved scope owner parties, to establish optimal work sequences
- Build & maintain ITO scheduling project templates by plant configuration.
- Work with relevant functions to maintain durations up to date.
- Build a registry of historical lead times & lesson learned.
- support project schedulers for project MTS development for Turn-key self-implemented & Turnkey with Partner projects, based on contract scope requirements, in co-operation with all involved scope owner parties, to establish optimal work sequences.
- Support key NPI (New Product Introduction) programs and develop optimized schedules together with Product Leadership & Engineering.
- Prepare and update Scheduling processes
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- Bachelors from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience
- Strong experience in project management, site scheduling & project scheduling.
- Relevant experience in Project Control Planning & Scheduling function within an EPC environment using Planning/Scheduling tools and programs
- Prior experience process for Gas Combined cycle projects
- Knowledge of power plant principles and work processes in an engineering, procurement, and construction environment
- Experience MS Projects, MS office , Oracle Primavera P6
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization
- Experience with globally based project teams
- Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and other responsibilities, and adjust to changing priorities
- Ability to support multiple internal customers and partners with competing priorities in a matrixed environment
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems quickly with available information
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), and influencing skills
