About the role

The role sits within the Maintenance; LPB function at GE Vernova's Vadodara manufacturing site, where the team installs, maintains, and repairs internal factory equipment and supervises employees performing maintenance and tool making. The work is centered on manufacturing equipment reliability, preventive maintenance planning, and lean/TPM practices supported by ERP systems such as Oracle. This lead-level individual contributor or early people leader role is responsible for planning and executing maintenance activities within an operating discipline and providing informal guidance to new team members.

What you will do

  • Ensure that equipment and tools are in good condition for use.
  • Propose plans for preventive maintenance and corrective action.
  • Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline.
  • Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
  • In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work.
  • In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
  • Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance.
  • Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks.
  • Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems.
  • May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
  • A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can hire and develop talent.
  • Provides informal guidance to new team members
  • Having knowledge of TPM, Lean manufacturing, 5S, problem solving techniques and analysis and experience in ERP- Oracle

What the employer is looking for

  • Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with Electrical & Electronics engineering from an accredited university.
