About the role
The role sits within GE Vernova's Digital Engineering organization, which builds scalable, high-performing digital products for the company's energy technology portfolio. The team works with product, design, and backend partners to deliver intuitive, responsive, and maintainable web applications. This Software Engineer will design and develop modern frontend applications using React.js or Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS3, and will own unit and automation testing with Jest, Jasmine, and Playwright.
What you will do
- Develop and maintain modern web applications using React.js or Angular .
- Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code using JavaScript and TypeScript .
- Build responsive UI using HTML5 and CSS3 .
- Create and maintain unit tests using frameworks like Jest or Jasmine .
- Implement automation tests using Playwright good to HAVE
- Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality features.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization .
- Follow best practices in software development, testing, and deployment .
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- 3 to 5 years of experience in frontend development .
- Strong experience with React.js .
- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3 .
- Experience with unit testing frameworks such as Jest or Jasmine .
- Experience with Playwright automation testing .
- Good understanding of REST APIs and web services .
- Familiarity with Agile development practices .
Preferred qualifications
- Experience working with component libraries or design systems .
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices .
