About the role
The Supplier Quality team at GE Vernova drives quality for assigned suppliers of M-BOP, including quality plan implementation, supplier selection through qualification processes, and ownership of supplier inspections. The role sits in the Mechanical BOP vendor inspection domain, working against defined inspection and test plans to verify vendor compliance. This Sourcing Specialist will perform inspection and monitoring activities at Mechanical BOP vendors, approve compliance of vendor items on behalf of GEV, and drive improvement plans where needed.
What you will do
- Performs inspection and monitoring activities at Mechanical BOP vendors, based on the requirements of the defined inspection and test plan.
- Inspector technical competencies are in line with the ITP requirements.
- Inspection is responsible for approving compliance of vendor items on behalf of GEV.
- Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience.
- Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
- Resolves issues using established procedures.
- Consults People Leader or more senior team members for issues outside of defined parameters.
- Collaborates with others to solve issues.
- For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE.
- Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.
- Handles simple data entry work requiring face value check and correction.

- This role requires basic experience in the Sourcing & Supplier Quality Inspection. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college with 5-8 years of experience

- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
