About the role
The role sits within GE Vernova's Manufacturing Operations organization and is responsible for performing the daily operations of plants to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line, including Service Shops. Based in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, the position is accountable for the quality of own work and executes within a well-defined operations framework following standard operational tasks. The specialist manages an operation, business, unit, or part of a production facility to reach defined targets in quality, cost, delivery and safety, and drives continuous business improvement against benchmarks and standards.
What you will do
- Manage an operation, business, unit, or part of a production facility in order to reach defined targets in quality, cost, delivery and safety.
- Ensure continuous business improvement according to benchmarks and standards.
- Team management of salaried employees. This does not include production supervisors who oversee hourly employees.
- Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.
- Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience.
- Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
- Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
- Collaborates with others to solve issues.
- For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE.
- Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.

- For roles outside of the USA- This role requires basic experience in the Manufacturing & Operation Management. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
