About the role
GE Aerospace's Multi-modal Manufacturing Facility (MMF) in Pune manufactures key aerospace components supporting India's defense and commercial sectors as well as global aviation supply chains. The site operates under AS9100D and relevant customer and regulatory approval norms. The Junior Engineer - Hydro Testing will execute and inspect aerospace hardware in Hydro Testing operations in FCOE, working hands-on across shifts in the testing cells and coordinating with Quality and Line Leaders on compliance and quality issues.
What you will do
- Work hands on across shifts in Testing cells in Aerospace function
- Ensure that the Production line & products meet quality & compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with Quality & Line Leaders to discuss and resolve product quality issues.
- Train & Lead qualification of team personnel’s.
- Assist in new product development activities to avoid quality issues.
- Coordinate AS & other relevant audits.
- Work with leadership to improve quality management system based on audit results.
- Work in compliance to the site and regulatory safety & quality norms.
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Production Engineering
- 1+ Years of Experience in aerospace / aviation Engineering industry is a must
- Documented hands on work experience / existing hydro process qualification.
Preferred qualifications
- Strong hands on experience in performing pressure testing operations , process control checks & working per GE-Aerospace specific customer P specs, third party and other international regulatory norms , visual inspection of finished & purchased product norms.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with good oral and written communication skills
