About the role
GE Aerospace's Multi-modal Manufacturing Facility (MMF) in Pune manufactures key aerospace components supporting India's defense and commercial sectors as well as global aviation supply chains. This role supports Electrical control cabinet assembly, wiring, and inspection on the shop floor, managing daily production activities and working with cross-functional teams. The Junior Engineer drives first-pass yield, EHS compliance, and continuous improvement to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
What you will do
- Perform Electrical controls cabinet assembly, wiring,electrical device installation and trouble shooting
- Conduct Inspection and testing of cabinets and sub-assemblies as per engineering drawings, BOMs, and specifications
- Plan and manage daily production in assembly, testing, and sub-assembly areas
- Coordinate with warehouse for timely material supply
- Ensure FPY of 95% and job quality in all operations
- Maintain tools and machine health, support preventive maintenance with CFT
- Raise and support EHS concerns and contribute to Kaizen (1/month)
- Manage consumables and support cost reduction projects
- Handle customer complaints related to supply and delivery, in coordination with relevant teams
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- First-class Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Electrical Engineering
- 2–4 years of experience in engineering industry
- Hands-on experience in control cabinet assembly and wiring, preferably Static Starter
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, BOMs, and specifications
- Strong manual dexterity, able to work on feet for extended periods
- High personal integrity and strong safety mindset
