About the role
Adobe's APAC Deal Desk team supports the sales organization by structuring profitable and compliant transactions across Adobe's software, services, and licensing portfolio. The group manages the deal approval process in CPQ and partners with Business Unit, Consulting, Customer Success, Legal, Licensing, Order Management, Credit, and Revenue Assurance. This role manages first-line deal approvals in a fiduciary capacity, supports sales transaction structuring, and partners with sales teams to accelerate deal closures while ensuring compliance with internal revenue recognition policies.
What you will do
- Manage the day-to-day deal approval process in CPQ, partner with sales teams, and communicate documented business cases to corporate stakeholders including Business Unit, Consulting, Customer Success, Legal, Licensing, Order Management, Credit, and Revenue Assurance to articulate deal value in a consistent manner.
- Perform against a defined set of metrics and service levels.
- Ensure adherence to and compliance with policies and procedures.
- Partner with internal stakeholders including Legal, Sales Operations, Sales Finance, Audit and Compliance, and other corporate functions.
- Regularly communicate with sales teams to ensure consistent application of policies.
- Ensure transactions adhere to Adobe's internal revenue recognition policies and operational guidelines.
- Prepare in-quarter deal status updates and communications for Sales Finance and Sales Management.
- Evaluate current processes and recommend areas for improvement.
- Complete ad-hoc projects and analysis as required.
- Participate in customer meetings when needed during the deal creation and negotiation process.
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in Deal Desk, Sales Finance, Sales Operations, Pricing, Bid Management.
- Experience in a multinational company, with prior relevant experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with internal business units regionally and globally, as well as with external partners including channel partners and resellers.
- Proven experience working extensively with sales leaders on deal structuring and enterprise-level software sales contract negotiations.
- Experience structuring multi-element software contracts, including services, support, and licensing.
- Proficiency in software revenue recognition accounting and US GAAP.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
