About the role
eBay Shipping is evolving from a marketplace capability into a reusable global platform, making eBay's shipping services available to eBay entities and subsidiaries, external marketplaces, third-party commerce and logistics platforms, and multi-channel sellers. The team works at the intersection of B2B product, developer experience and global go-to-market. This role owns the end-to-end partner and client journey — from opportunity discovery and solution shaping through integration, launch and adoption — while translating client needs into scalable platform patterns.
What you will do
- Define the product strategy and roadmap for client onboarding, partner integrations and adoption of Shipping as a Service.
- Segment and prioritize target customers and use cases across eBay entities, subsidiaries, marketplaces, third-party platforms, high-volume sellers and multi-channel businesses.
- Own the complete client journey from discovery and requirements through technical integration, certification, production launch, growth and support.
- Develop repeatable integration patterns, reference journeys and onboarding playbooks that reduce time to first API call, first label and production scale.
- Partner with the Platform PM and Engineering teams to translate client needs into reusable APIs, configuration and operational capabilities.
- Shape the developer and partner experience, including documentation, onboarding, authentication and access controls, sandbox journeys, sample applications, integration checklists, and support processes.
- Work with client teams to define embedded shipping experiences that are simple, trustworthy and consistent while allowing appropriate flexibility for their customers.
- Lead cross-functional launch readiness across Product, Engineering, Business, Legal, Security, Payments, Reconciliation, Shipping Operations, Customer Support and Analytics.
- Build feedback loops with clients and partners to identify friction, prioritize improvements and continuously strengthen the platform proposition.
- Establish and own adoption metrics such as integration cycle time, activation, active clients, shipment volume, repeat usage, support contacts and partner satisfaction.
- Tell a compelling product and business story that aligns senior stakeholders around target clients, investment priorities, launch sequencing and measurable outcomes.
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- 3+ years of product management experience, ideally across B2B, B2B2C, marketplaces, SaaS, developer products or platform integrations.
- Experience taking complex integrations from early discovery through production launch and adoption.
- Strong customer-discovery skills and the ability to distinguish reusable platform needs from client-specific requests.
- A track record of designing effective onboarding, activation or partner experiences using qualitative insight and funnel data.
- Strong understanding of APIs and technical integrations, with the ability to work credibly with client and platform engineering teams.
- Excellent product judgement, prioritization and execution discipline in ambiguous, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Strong analytical mindset; comfortable defining metrics, measuring integration and adoption funnels, and using data to prioritize improvements.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to align senior internal leaders and external partners.
- Ability to operate globally across markets, time zones, regulatory models and different client operating contexts.
Benefits and support
- Compensation and benefits are detailed in the job posting
