About the role
State Street's Global Technology Services (GTS) function delivers data and insights to clients and drives the company's digital transformation using cloud, artificial intelligence and robotic process automation. The team is hiring a Functional & Automation Test Engineer to work exclusively on the Financial Services domain, collaborating with cross-functional agile teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. The role covers test strategy, test case and automation suite development, continuous integration of automated scripts, and execution of integration, system, regression, compatibility and user acceptance testing phases.
What you will do
- Understanding business requirements and defining test strategies for software applications.
- Develop and maintain Test plan, Test cases, Test data, Test backups and other SQA artifacts.
- Maintain Automated Scripts for complex application workflows/process.
- Identify regression cases and automate test suites.
- Incorporate automated test scripts into continuous integration process.
- Perform Integration, System, Regression, Compatibility and User acceptance testing phases.
- Participate in daily Agile standups, iteration planning, product demos and application walkthroughs.
- Maintaining and tracking the test deliverables in test management tool.
- Taking responsibility of the QA deliverables.
- Oversees the day to day activities of one or more project teams
- Prepares project report and ensures metrics are kept up to date.
- Reviews daily processes and suggests improvements as required
- To coordinate with all stakeholders in the program – Dev/Business/PM teams.
- Works closely with other test teams, development teams, project managers, analysts, and deployment and support personnel to support project and department goals
- Act as key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases and support.
- Replicating the production defects in lower environments.

- Strong Practical experience using Scrum, Agile modelling and adaptive software development.
- Test automation tools like TOSCA, Python, Selenium & UFT
- Defect Tracking Tools like RTC, Jira
- Strong Practical experience in using Test Management Tools
