About the role
Mastercard's Emerging Payments Technology team in Pune researches and develops next-generation products and services that let consumers conduct transactions securely and intelligently across retail, mobile, and e-commerce channels. The team builds MasterPass, a digital wallet solution, along with the SDKs and API services that support it. This hands-on lead role designs and implements Java-based SDKs and API services, mentors engineers, and drives code quality within an agile delivery model.
What you will do
- The Consultant, Software Engineering is a hands-on developer specializing in Java development with a particular focus producing software development kits (SDKs) and API services in support of MasterPass, our digital wallet solution.
- As a Consultant on the Digital Payments Technology team, you will be responsible for helping design and implement SDKs and API services across multiple products and services.
- You'll work closely with other team technical leads and with our Product Management team, and other stakeholders.
- Working within an agile development methodology, you will collaborate with and mentor other engineers and with other technical delivery teams, implement solid, robust solutions for new features and services.
- In addition you'll research new frameworks and technologies, assist with prototyping and proof-of-concepts, participate in code reviews, and help ensure a high level of code quality in your work.

- Solid understanding and hands-on experience in Java, J2EE, App Servers

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education
