About the role
Walmart's Enterprise FP&A Operational COE enables financial planning and performance management across Walmart U.S., Sam's Club, International, and Corporate Finance through OneStream administration, process excellence, and self-service capabilities. This Chennai-based Senior Manager leads FP&A operational enablement for a portion of the COE team, partnering with a Bentonville Senior Manager on LRP/AOP planning, forecasting, month-end close, workforce planning, and performance management. The role combines OneStream governance, data quality and controls, process improvement, and onsite people leadership.
What you will do
- Lead FP&A operational support for planning, forecasting, month-end close, workforce planning, and performance management across the functional leader's segments and cycles.
- Own planning-cycle readiness in Chennai: calendars, run books, data loads, reconciliations, and sign-off checkpoints for each LRP, AOP, forecast, and close cycle.
- Oversee production support and issue resolution. Triage defects, document evidence, and escalate to Product and Engineering with clear impact and priority, while keeping technical fixes with the teams that own them.
- Drive OneStream administration, governance, and continuous improvement, including change assessment, testing, controls, and documentation.
- Partner with Finance, Transformation, Product, Engineering, and Master Data teams to improve financial systems, data quality, and process effectiveness.
- Lead efforts to simplify processes, strengthen controls, and improve the user experience, and identify where automation, self-service, and AI-enabled solutions can raise Finance productivity.
- Build and maintain knowledge assets (process guides, recordings, cross-training plans) so every cycle has a primary and a backup owner.
- Serve as a senior escalation point during India hours and provide coverage and continuity when the Bentonville leader is unavailable.
- Act as the onsite supervisor for a Chennai based team, providing day-to-day direction, prioritization, and coaching.
- Manage team administration in partnership with IDC Finance leadership and HR: attendance, time-off and leave approvals, Workday tasks, onboarding, access, and required compliance training.
- Set goals and run regular check-ins, and provide performance and calibration input to the functional and administrative leaders.
- Participate in talent processes for the team, including recruiting and interviewing, development plans, promotion readiness, and recognition and award nominations.
- Build engagement, trust, and retention, and give associates clear growth paths within the COE.
- Coordinate with the other onsite COE Senior Manager in Chennai on shared coverage, standards, cross-training, and site-level matters.
