About the role
Walmart Global Tech is the technology organization of the world's leading retailer, building software, data, and cybersecurity solutions at retail scale. The Replenishment product team builds the products and platforms that optimize and track how inventory moves from suppliers through the distribution network to store shelves and fulfillment centers, used across Walmart's international markets and business units. This Staff Product Manager role owns ambiguous, high-leverage inventory-flow problems, working hands-on with data and partnering closely with engineering and data science on implementation tradeoffs.
What you will do
- As a Staff Product Manager on the Replenishment product team, you will own ambiguous, high-leverage problems in how inventory flows across Walmart's network: from supplier to distribution network to store shelves and fulfillment centers.
- You will find the answers yourself. You'll write your own queries, dig into data to find where the opportunities and gaps are, and build proof-of-concept solutions where possible to show an idea is worth building before asking anyone to build it.
- You will work closely with engineering and data science, with enough technical depth to make those conversations genuinely two-way.
- You will help the team weigh implementation paths: what a design unlocks, what it rules out, and where a reasonable shortcut today becomes a constraint at scale.
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- 5+ years of product management experience, including owning complex, high-impact data and systems problems. You've been hands-on with data and systems, not just roadmaps and tickets.
- Strong data fluency. You write your own queries and dig into data yourself to find opportunities and gaps, rather than waiting for others to do the analysis for you.
- A bias for proving ideas early. You build proof-of-concept solutions where possible to show an idea is worth building before asking a team to build it.
- Technical depth and judgment on tradeoffs. You can engage engineering and data science as a peer, weigh what a design unlocks and what it rules out, and spot where a shortcut today becomes a constraint at scale.
- Bachelor of Science and 5 years' product management experience OR Master of Science and 2 years' product management experience.
