About the role

The Content Acquisition Team is chartered to build an audit organization that validates vendor submissions (content and images) against Walmart's Standard Operating Procedures and Style Guides, and to set standards for content acquisition that deliver a high-quality catalog across the omni-channel platform. The work supports Walmart's eCommerce priority by driving catalog data quality, content operations, and data quality at scale. This role defines and executes quality governance frameworks, statistical sampling strategies, and process improvement roadmaps to drive measurable improvements in catalog quality, defect reduction, and operational efficiency.

What you will do

  • Experience in quality audits, quality metrics, scorecards, governance, and standardization across multiple processes/workstreams.
  • Hands-on experience in process improvement, waste reduction, RCA, CAPA, VSM, and FMEA.
  • Ability to analyze defects, quality trends, escapes, DPMO, Sigma levels, and identify improvement opportunities using data.
  • Working knowledge of statistical analysis, confidence intervals, margin of error, and risk-based/Z-based sampling or even sampling methodologies.
  • Ability to identify automation opportunities and deliver solutions that improve quality, productivity, or reduce manual effort.
  • Understanding of product catalog/content quality including attributes, taxonomy, descriptions, images, compliance, and data accuracy.
  • Ability to independently track multiple initiatives, identify risks/dependencies, drive mitigation, and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Strong ability to work with Operations, Business, Product, and Technology teams and drive alignment on quality initiatives.
  • Ability to convert data into clear insights, recommendations, dashboards, and leadership-level updates.
  • Proactively identifies issues, develops solutions, follows through to closure, and drives improvements beyond immediate responsibilities.

What the employer is looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Appropriate experience in Quality, Operational Excellence, or Process Improvement. 3-6+ years' experience in Quality / Operational Excellence roles, preferably within eCommerce content, retail catalog operations, or large-scale data operations.
  • Quality Assurance & Governance, Statistical Quality & Sampling (Z-based sampling, confidence intervals, margin of error), Root Cause Analysis (RCA/CAPA), Process Improvement (VSM/FMEA), Quality Analytics (DPMO, Sigma levels), Data Analysis, Stakeholder Management, Problem Solving, Communication & Reporting
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field OR 2 years' experience in project management or related field.
  • 1 year's experience using Microsoft Office tools (for example, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
