About the role
The role sits within NXP's Connectivity products organization, where the team validates RF blocks of transceiver silicon against the KPIs defined in the system compliance matrix. The work spans RF block-level measurement, test automation, and correlation between ATE and bench setups for connectivity products. This engineer owns validation readiness for tape-out, risk production, and mass production, and works closely with the IP design and architecture teams to summarize results and debug issues.
What you will do
- Oversee validation of:
- Transceiver Blocks– PA, PPA, Mixer, LNA, ADC etc.
- Drive ATE and bench correlation as needed.
- Ensure robust test plans, coverage models, and sign-off criteria.
- Own validation readiness for tape-out, risk production, and mass production.
- Set clear goals, KPIs, and execution frameworks for validation programs.
- Partner closely with Design & Architecture teams
- Provide regular program updates to senior leadership.
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering (or related).
- 3-5 years of experience in semiconductor validation (RF/System), product engineering, or silicon debug.
- Strong hands-on background in:
- Lab equipment like Spectrum analyzer, VNA, Oscilloscope, RF signal generator etc.
- Lab bring-up and silicon debug tools (JTAG, logic analyzers, scopes, etc.)
- Excellent communication and executive presence.
