About the role

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM. We are seeking an experienced Director of Software Engineering to lead our Bangalore-based security engineering team within the Trust and Infrastructure organization. You will drive the design, development, and operation of large-scale distributed security systems that protect Salesforce's Commercial and Government Cloud environments. Our team owns critical security infrastructure including endpoint protection, vulnerability scanning, cloud security posture management, intrusion detection, and infrastructure guardrails—protecting thousands of hosts and cloud resources serving millions of customers globally.

  • Proficiency with AI/ML for security automation, anomaly detection, and infrastructure optimization
  • Deep understanding of cloud platforms, infrastructure-as-code, containerization, and orchestration
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence senior leadership
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and prioritization skills
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking with ability to execute multi-year technical vision
  • Comfortable navigating difficult conversations and driving alignment
  • Willingness to maintain overlapping hours with US teams 2-3 times per week
