About the role
NVIDIA's Silicon Co-Design group supports the development and validation of product and engineering platforms for NVIDIA GPUs and SoCs. The work spans hands-on high-speed IO validation such as PCI-E Gen5 and USB SS Gen2, along with system-level functional testing for performance and system stability. This role joins a global hardware team running platform validation tests, board bring-up and debug to deliver high quality, state of the art products.
What you will do
- As part of platform validation team, you will be running various test cases on engineering systems that involve stress testing, electrical testing, functional testing, environmental testing which involves Windows, Linux and Android based stress tests
- Collect data from large number of systems, identify failures, classify failures based on symptoms and first level of debug. Preparing and filing test reports, bugs
- Assembly and testing of complex systems for stability testing
- Understand and execute test procedures across process, voltage, temperature corners, do required modifications to test scripts to suite the environment, drive prelim debugs and triage.
- Run functional tests for GPU and SoC interfaces like PCIe, USB, eMMC, DP, HDMI,
- Participate in Platform Bring up and perform board screening, FW programming, fusing, power rail checkouts, IO peripherals checkout
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- B.E with 4+ years of experience in hardware platform testing and validation
- Experience in board validation, electrical SI measurement concepts
- Hands-on experience with lab/measurement equipment (DSOs, BERT, VNA, Protocol analyzers, Data Acquisition units) is required
- Strong familiarity with executing tests under Linux environment. Must be able to do prelim debug analysis
- Familiarity with basic debugging using tools like WinDBG, ADB etc
- Strong understanding of PC system components and various buses and interconnects, PCB components.

- In-depth working knowledge of complex platforms in semiconductor companies
- Familiarity with tools for data analysis.
