About the role

The NVIDIA System Software team is looking for highly motivated system software engineers with a proven track record of developing and leading technologies in kernel space from end to end. This role works closely with multi-functional and hardware teams to develop kernel-level system software solutions across chip development, from inception to production.
What you will do
- Work closely with multi-functional teams to develop system software solutions for kernel-level problems.
- Discuss architectural details with hardware teams and work together to build software solutions.
- Participate in different stages of chip development, from inception to production.
- Follow emerging trends in PCIE and connected sectors, focusing on innovation to boost performance and power efficiency.
- Solve deep technical problems from existing and new architecture.
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of proven experience in working on core system software problems.
- Extensive knowledge of PCIE and associated technologies.
- Proficiency in C and kernel-level debugging.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
Preferred qualifications
- Expertise in silicon bring-up of SOC products.
- Experience developing software solutions using AI tools.
- System-level knowledge that extends beyond a single component.
