About the role
NVIDIA's automotive business powers visual computing and AI solutions for major car manufacturers, spanning AI Cockpit and Autonomous Vehicles (AV), and builds its own supercomputer-on-wheels platform rather than relying on off-the-shelf hardware. The Autonomous Driving Software team works on the DriveAV software platform, including platform SW components, middleware, sensors and integration tooling. This role, based in Bangalore, contributes to customer engagements by adapting the NVIDIA AV software platform to customer ECUs and vehicle environments, debugging platform components, and improving integration efficiency for AV simulation and car platforms.
What you will do
- Support adaptation of NVIDIA AV Software platform to the customer ECU, Vehicle environment.
- Regularly engage with customer teams to productize workflows for platform integration
- Analyse, debug, fix bugs in the SW platform components to deliver high quality SW releases to customers
- Enhance integration efficiency to facilitate low latency development on Autonomous Vehicle Simulation & Car platforms
- Contribute to platform software development, tools, filesystem customization, and software integration
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- BS or MS degree from a leading university, or equivalent experience, in an engineering or computer science related discipline with 8+ years of relevant working experience
- Working experience with ADAS or autonomous driving software stack, particularly platform SW components, middleware & sensors
- Proficient debugging skills from application to kernel level on embedded hardware
- Good working knowledge of Linux and QNX and experience with device drivers
- Excellent programming skills in C, C++ and understanding of build systems (like Bazel)
- Good written and verbal interpersonal skills - concisely articulate knowledge and ideas
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in functional development, adaptation and testing of automotive software based on various sensors (e.g. camera, radar, lidar, GPS, ultrasound etc.)
- Experience developing software in heterogeneous architectures, including GPUs and other types of accelerators
- Good knowledge of process standards like ASPICE & ISO26262.
- Self-motivated and work effectively across different international functional organizations
