About the role
The Autodesk Identity Access and Management team is seeking a talented and highly motivated individual who loves to find and develop efficient, scalable, and thoughtful solutions to various technical and product challenges. The team builds Autodesk's Identity Access Management Platform, a key business enabler serving millions of Autodesk customers daily and leveraged by 150+ desktop, mobile, web applications and cloud services for managing user authentication, authorization, profile, and entitlements. As a back-end software engineer, you will work on cutting edge AWS technologies to build the next generation of Autodesk's Identity Platform while collaborating with local and remote colleagues across disciplines.
What you will do
- Work effectively as a member of the self-organized agile team that builds, owns, and runs the web application and a cloud service
- Build responsive UIs that work across multiple form factors (web, native desktop, mobiles etc
- Contribute to all aspects of a cloud service development, including front-end, backend, DevOps, and quality
- Assist in the operation of the service, e.g. monitoring, alerting, metrics, logging, and troubleshooting
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, able to debug complex technical issues involving multiple system components
- Work closely with senior engineers, architects, product owners to understand requirements and translate them into elegant implementations
- Use the current system behavior to identify opportunities for continuous improvement of the scalability, reliability, usability, and security of the system
- Be an advocate for the service within the org to help the product teams to integrate the service
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science
- Relevant 2-4 Years software engineering experience
- Excellent understanding of basic principles of computer programming
- Expertise in one or more of the programming languages Go, Java, .NET
- Solid understanding of software design and architectural patterns as well as very good understanding of cloud design paradigms
- Proven ability to write maintainable and re-usable code
- Expert level experience in building services with high performance, high availability at internet scale
- Committed to quality, including security and performance
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
Preferred qualifications
- Willing to continuously learn new technologies and driven to adopt best practices. Should be a Problem solver, smart, innovative, adaptable, inclusive, impactful, humble, courageous, accountable, pragmatic, and self-motivated individual who takes the initiative and ownership of projects are desired
- Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, Oracle, and MongoDB
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery practices
