About the role
Cisco's Webex Customer Experience Solutions team builds customer experience, contact center, and communications products for enterprise customers. The team works across engineering, design, data, go-to-market, and operations to deliver AI-era collaboration and customer experience software. This Product Manager role owns the near-term vision and prioritized roadmap for a product area, translating customer and market evidence into outcomes and leading delivery from discovery through launch and iteration.
What you will do
- Own the near-term vision and prioritized roadmap, aligned to broader business and product strategy.
- Translate customer problems, market shifts, technology opportunities, and operating constraints into clear product outcomes, requirements, and sequencing decisions.
- Develop business cases and success measures that connect feature investments to customer adoption, commercial value, reliability, and strategic goals.
- Build direct relationships with customers, partners, and internal field teams; synthesize feedback across research, support, usage, and market inputs.
- Validate early product concepts with customers and partners, then use the evidence to refine problem statements, product direction, and roadmap decisions.
- Monitor industry trends, customer expectations, and competitive signals to identify opportunities, risks, and needed adjustments to product strategy.
- Formulate the right business questions, use data to inform decisions, and connect project outcomes to meaningful metrics for the product area.
- Make and explain tradeoffs between customer needs, commercial priorities, product quality, and delivery capacity.
- Partner closely with engineering and design to define specifications, resolve technical and design tradeoffs, and deliver high-quality releases.
- Assess release readiness across functional, technical, customer, and business criteria; make clear decisions on whether a release meets the required bar.
- Manage the lifecycle from discovery through launch and iteration, including readiness with sales, marketing, customer success, support, and operations.
- Define and monitor adoption, workflow-efficiency, quality, and customer-impact measures after launch; use results to guide follow-on investment and iteration.
- Align with Product stakeholders anticipate concerns, and build plans that balance their needs while maintaining product direction.
- Engage senior internal leaders and customer to shape positioning, gain buy-in, communicate roadmap choices, and resolve escalations.
- Mentor and support more junior PMs through informal coaching, stronger product artifacts, and practical delivery guidance.
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 or more years of product management, product lifecycle management, solution architecture, or closely related experience in enterprise software, SaaS, communications, or customer experience products.
- Demonstrated ownership of a product roadmap or substantial product area, including prioritization, requirements, delivery, launch, and post-launch iteration.
- Experience translating customer needs and business goals into actionable product specifications, investment choices, and measurable outcomes.
- Strong analytical judgment, including the ability to use data, customer feedback, and operational evidence to make product decisions.
- Proven ability to influence engineering, design, sales, customer success, and operations partners in a matrixed environment without direct authority.
- Executive communication skills, including concise roadmap, tradeoff, and business-case presentations for internal and customer audiences.
- Experience defining product quality, adoption, commercial, reliability, and customer-success measures and using them to guide investment decisions.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with contact center, customer experience, communications, workflow automation, data and analytics, or AI-enabled enterprise software.
- Experience working with enterprise customers, strategic partners, and globally distributed product and engineering teams.
- Experience applying AI tools to enhance product insight, execution quality, and decision-making.
