About the role
The team is responsible for Cisco's IOS-XR operating system, building software, platforms and solutions for service provider and web customers. The role involves developing and integrating products deployed by leading service providers, working with C/C++ and Python test automation on Linux, and applying OS, networking and multithreaded system programming concepts for carrier-grade networking.

- You possess the ability to understand system-level architecture and design.
- Besides these, you have sufficient knowledge of product development life-cycle and tools.
- Your good written and verbal communication skills have always stood you in good stead.
- Experience: 7 years to 13 years.
- Bachelor’s degree in CS/EE/EC or technical equivalent.
- Expert knowledge and hands-on experience in C/C++ programming and python for test automation
- Proven understanding of GenAI capabilities and AI-powered software development
- Sound knowledge of operating system concepts, computer networking, multithreaded programming and system programming on UNIX/LINUX based systems
Preferred qualifications
- Broadband/subscriber protocols: PPPoE, IPoE, DHCPv4/v6, PPP, RADIUS/CoA, L2TP.
- Exposure to L2/L3 protocols
- Knowledge of Virtualization/distributed systems/Docker
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting IOS-XR or another carrier-grade network OS.
- Exposure to Netconf/Yang, GRPC, REST APIs is a plus
